yes marcels target was a rank in the top20. including some technical problems he got 15th - thats really great. hope he can repeat that in the next years world cup races

in another thread i read the question why wildhaber only was placed on the 5th at the swiss national championship - that was due to an illness during the week before the race. that was a pitty.

but now, the cross country season starts - lets see what it brings

I told about Marcel's fifth place in Swiss Champs, and about the good level showed by Vogel and Naef bikers.
I ask myself why they didn't go to the Worlds Champs ?

yes, youre right, vogel and naef were better classified at the swiss national championship. as I know is the criterium for being in the swiss-national-team (elite) for the world championship is a top 25 ranking in a world cup race. only heule, flückiger and wildhaber reached that goal.

if this way of selection make sense (switzerland have 5 starting places) is in your mind

I really agree with Swiss Federation criterium.
I don't agree wih racers that didn't complete a full season, like Naef ang Vogel (even if they ara really goods).
Good Luck to Marcel. He's veri young yet and has a nice future, I think...
